Spiritual versus Material

Spiritual versus Material are not the choices. Everything about this physical manifestational experience is spiritual. It is all the end product of spirit. You have nothing to prove. Be the spiritual you and create like a physical fiend.

What knowledge, what understanding of life can we acquire if weare not free, inwardly free?

"What knowledge, what understanding of life can we acquire if we

are not free, inwardly free? It is the absence of inner freedom

that prevents humans from discovering the essential truths they

need in order to orient themselves in life.

So many men and women consider freedom to be the most precious

possession, and they will fight to achieve it! Yes, but what they seek is not the freedom that can give them the living knowledge

able to sustain them and save them. On the contrary, they are

engaged in activities that enslave them and blind them. It is as

if they were walking through a magnificent landscape or garden

but were so weighed down with worries and grief they were unable

to see any of it. All the wonders of heaven and earth are there,

all around them and within them, but to see them and understand

them they would have to be free, inwardly free."

Don't be content merely to dream about the future

"Don't be content merely to dream about the future; do your best to build it here and now on solid foundations. It is 'now' that counts. The future is an extension of the present, and the present is nothing other than a consequence, a result of the past. Everything is connected: past, present and future are not

separate. The future will be built on the foundations you lay today. If these foundations are faulty, there is clearly no point in expecting an exceptional future, but if they are good there is no need to be anxious. The roots determine how the trunk, branches and fruit will be.

The past is gone, but it gave birth to the present, and the present provides the roots for the future. So, you are building

your future here and now by seeking to improve the present."

You place your foot on the first step of an escalator: instantly, it starts moving and takes you to a higher or lower floor.

it starts moving and takes you to a higher or lower floor. What
has happened? By stepping on it, you have simply cut off a beam
of light, and interrupting this beam has set off a device
enabling the enormous stairs, which weigh tons, to start moving.
A similar process takes place in the inner life of human beings.
Each one of their thoughts and feelings cuts off a ray somewhere,
and machinery is set in motion. Often, instead of taking them to
the upper floors of consciousness, the escalator takes them
underground, where they are deprived of air, light, warmth and
space. You think you are free to have just any thought or
feeling, but be aware that each one acts as a trigger, the effect
of which is to project you either up or down. So, do be careful! "
