Cause & Effect

Everything in the universe works in a chain of cause and effect. At the beginning of every such chain lies a decision, a free choice for which there is no cause, nothing that forced it to be that way. Whatever comes out of that chain will come back to the one who initiated it.

At the beginning of each chain and at its end, there lies purpose.

T.Freeman

If you don't meet resistance with resistance, it dissipates dramatically.

If you don't meet resistance with resistance, it dissipates dramatically. It just softens. Try it! Next time somebody says to you, "I'm right, and you're wrong," say, "Pfftt, you're right. You are right. You're right." And mean it. In other words, don't mock them. Don't be sarcastic. "You're right." And then watch how, all of a sudden, their legs almost go right out from under them. They don't have the energy to blast you, because you just took the fuel away from the fire.

In All Ways

People imagine a place of Godliness as a place for seriousness, a solemn place, a place that fills you with trepidation.
The fact is, where there is God, there is joy.
That is why our every moment is a moment to celebrate and fill with joy. Because at every moment we are fulfilling our mission of bringing Godliness into this world.
Not just the obviously joyful matters, such as meditation, study, prayer and good deeds, but also regular, mundane activities and the ways we earn an income and go about life -all are ways by which we know Him and bring Him into our world.
T.Freeman

When people say 'I'

"When people say 'I', do they always know who they really mean?
When they say, 'I am... ill or well, unhappy or happy; I want...
money, a car, a wife; I have... this wish, that interest, the
other opinion', they think they are talking of themselves, but
that is where they are wrong.
As humans have never studied themselves deeply enough to know
their true nature, they identify at all times with the 'I' that
is represented by their physical body, their instincts, their
desires, feelings and thoughts. But if they were to try, now, to
find themselves through study and meditation, they would actually
discover that, beyond all appearances, their true self is one
with God himself. For, in reality, there is not a multitude of
separate beings but one Being working through all beings, giving
them life and manifesting within them, even though they are not
aware of it. Once they are able to sense this reality, humans
will draw close to the divine Source from which they all
originate."

Serious Darkness

Don’t take the world and its darkness so seriously --it is not as real as it feigns to be.
It is only a creation and it is being re-created out of absolutely nothing at every moment. The only thing real about it is its purpose of being --that you should purify it.

Friendly Hardships

Hardships in life are the material world’s way of beckoning to you, “Purify me! Elevate me!”
They come to you knowing you can overcome them, and thereby they will fulfill their purpose of being.

Sensitivity vs Sentimentality

"We say that someone who is easily wounded or offended is
sensitive. No, true sensitivity means being completely open to
the beauty and light of the divine world and closed to all the
ugliness and absurdity of the human world. So, what is generally
called sensitivity, that is, our ability to feel upset by
indifference, scorn, criticism and humiliation, is in fact only
susceptibility, sentimentality. So, what is left for these poor
unhappy souls, for whom heaven, angels, friends or beauty do not
exist, but only unfair, malicious, ill-intentioned people?
You must not confuse sensitivity with sentimentality.
Sentimentality is the unhealthy expression of a poor, mean,
narrow, neurotic ego. Sensitivity, on the other hand, is a higher
degree of evolution, which brings humans into contact with the
heavenly regions and enables them to resonate with all the beauty
of the universe."

The Human Ego

When I look at others,
My ego evokes envy and hate
and desire to control.
I don’t wish others well,
or at least, not better than me.
I want them to succeed a little,
a relative success,
but I want everyone to see that I am more successful.

------------------------------
Our nature, through which we sense the world and ourselves alive and
operating in it, is a program that depicts a certain reality for us.
It is called “Ego”—the will to receive and to enjoy by myself and for myself,
even when it is at the expense of others.
This software locks us from within, immerses us within it, draws all of our
attention, and actually compels us to focus solely on ourselves.
We operate according to this program and cannot even contemplate the
existence of another reality.

--------------------------------
We must not destroy anything within us.
Even the most negative attributes should remain.
We do not create anything new,
but only correct how we use
what already exists within us.

This Marathon Has Run Its Course

We may think we have everything, but everything no longer satisfies us.
We are still playing the game and chasing transient goals, which we envision
as pleasures such as money, honors, and power. After all, what else is there to
do in this life?
We look at each other and thoughtlessly follow the current trend. We say to
ourselves, “If I behave like everyone else, I’ll feel good.” Then, we choose a
certain vague, agreeable goal and chase it, hoping to escape the emptiness.
We must be constantly preoccupied or the eternal questions will haunt us:
“What am I living for? What’s happening with my life?”
But sooner or later, the point in our hearts will awaken and we will not be
able to focus on mundane issues.
Suddenly, we will understand that this chase was prearranged in order to
distract our minds from what is most important.
As long as we closed our eyes to avoid truly seeing, we could run along with
the crowd.
But we have exhausted our strength. While everyone else is still racing, we
have dropped out. It is simply not appealing anymore; in fact, we find it
pointless.
Our will has deepened so much, it no longer allows us to settle for mundane
goals. This is when we begin the quest for a higher goal.

eux."

It is quite pointless arguing about whether or not God exists!

"It is quite pointless arguing about whether or not God exists! It
is quite simple, actually. For the non-believer, it is true, God
does not exist, for it depends on us whether things exist or not.
When you are asleep, even if all the treasures of the world are
heaped around you, since you are not aware of them it is as if
they didn't exist. That is the way almost all humans are, deep in
sleep, the sleep of unawareness. Only the initiates, because they
are truly awakened beings, see the splendours all around them and
delight in them. Everyone else has the same riches around them
and within them, but they are unaware of it.
So it all depends on one's state of consciousness. When you are
awake, certain things become a reality, but when you fall asleep
they are erased. It is the same with God: if you are asleep, you
do not feel him, and you say he does not exist. But if you wake
up, you will feel that God is there, alive within you and around
you."

Inspiration Aside

Yesterday, you were inspired.
Today, that is all gone.
And so, you are depressed.

But this is the way the system works: Everything begins with inspiration.
Then the inspiration steps aside
—to make room for you to do something with it.

For fire to become deeds.

Prayers, fasting, ablutions and so on

"Prayers, fasting, ablutions and so on, in fact all the practices
recommended by religions throughout the world, serve to prepare
people to receive the currents and messages from heaven
correctly. Actually, the main thing is not the practices
themselves but the willingness to undertake an inner work of
self-examination and purification so as to improve one's
thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Those who are not determined to carry out this work would do
better to leave spirituality alone; otherwise they will become a
danger to themselves and others. As long as we have not rid
ourselves of certain prejudices and bias, there is nothing more
dangerous than religious practices: they give those who do them
the illusion that they are messengers, instruments of heaven.
Thus we have seen people become torturers of their family or even
of their people. Only those who have worked to become selfless
and loving toward others are able to hear and pass on messages
from heaven."

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Time changes not, but all things change in time.

Time changes not,
but all things change in time.
For time is the force
that holds events separate,
each in its own proper place.
Time is not in motion,
but ye move through time
as your consciousness
moves from one event to another.
Aye, by time yet exist, all in all,
an eternal ONE existence.
Know ye that even though in the time ye are separate,
yet still are ONE, in all times existent.

Reprise

This goal, when will we reach it?

It was once far, but now it is near.

When will we hold it in our hands?

When we will open our eyes to see it is already here.

The quality of patience involves tolerance.

"The quality of patience involves tolerance. Yes, but there are
many ways of tolerating. You may be exasperated by certain
actions or words, and even if you remain motionless and silent
you may be boiling inside with feelings of anger and rebellion.
This happens, especially when you have to be subjected to the
authority of someone senior to you: even if they take advantage
of the situation, you don't move, you say nothing, knowing that
if you retorted you would only make matters worse. But then, you
chew over your grievances for hours, you fret and it hurts. Well,
that is not what patience is.
Patience, true patience, is accompanied by a sense of strength
and peace, so it implies considerable previous inner work. You
have to have acquired a great deal of wisdom before you can
eventually be patient."

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

No Strings

When we have agendas our judgment is distorted and our vision becomes selective. We see what we want to see and conveniently ignore the rest.

Giving up our agenda always requires some discomfort. But God has a bigger and better plan for us than we could ever imagine for our self. All that is requested is that we trust.

Cosmic Intelligence

"Cosmic Intelligence has given human beings the gift of a mind, a
heart and a will. To satisfy their mind, they need to think; to
satisfy their heart, they need to experience feelings; to satisfy
their will, they need to act. And it is in action that they know
the greatest joy. Fulfilment is found not in understanding or
feeling but in action and achievement.
When we are in action, we feel in tune, at one with the
primordial force. For an action implies concentrating all one's
energies, including all the cells of one's being, before making
the gesture that accomplishes it. This is why any act of
kindness, wisdom, disinterestedness or love performed with full
awareness brings fulfilment."

'If you nurture within yourself the idea of love in its most sublime form

"The Master Peter Deunov said, 'If you nurture within yourself the
idea of love in its most sublime form, you receive help from
thousands upon thousands of loving souls, for love implies the
collective work of a multitude of souls joined together by the
idea of love. Divine love is the greatest power there is. Never
doubt this truth, if you wish the souls working in its name to
always remain close to you.'
These words deserve to be pondered, chewed over and digested,
for they open up amazing horizons for us. Once we have arrived at
this divine conception of love, we shall attract thousands of
souls from on high, who will come to help us and support us.
Human language is weak when it comes to expressing the joy of
those who are visited by love such as this. They need only catch
sight of a man's or woman's face in passing to feel fulfilled."

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Death on the earth is a birth above

"What a worry it is for the doctor and hospital staff when a child
that's about to be born presents feet first! Yes, because a child
coming into the world should present head first. But this is just
the physiological aspect of the matter; the position a child is
born in has so much more to teach us.
Watch how swimmers diving into the water launch themselves in
head first, and when they want to come out of the water they do
the opposite and raise their head. The fact that a child comes
into the world head first shows that the spirit, descending from
subtle regions, has to dive into a much denser world. This
position is symbolic of the spirit sinking into matter. And
conversely, when people die, they leave a very dense region to
enter a subtler region, just like the swimmer coming up out of
the water into the air, which is subtler. So birth is a form of
death. Yes, the birth of a child is a death in the subtle
regions. And death on the earth is a birth above."
