Chaque homme et chaque femme est appelé à réaliser la pierre philosophale. Pour cela, celui qui est éveillé à cette réalité divine doit s'emparer de l'arbre de la science du bien et du mal, des énergies positives et négatives, et s'entraîner à maîtriser les énergies négatives pour les mettre au service des énergies positives par la transmutation. Ce travail doit s'effectuer dans la vie quotidienne et demande beaucoup de subtilité.

"However much you dazzle people with your knowledge, it won’t be
enough to change them. Of course, knowledge is a powerful tool:
it enlightens the mind and provides good arguments, but that is
all. However much people are informed, however much they have
understood, it doesn’t mean they will budge. To bring them round,
you must communicate your conviction and your love. For faith and
love are enlivening, stimulating; they are living forces.
When confronted with life’s difficulties, those who have only
knowledge remain weak, fearful and unsteady. Whereas, those who
love, who are full of conviction and enthusiasm, even if they
have little knowledge, will keep going, overcome obstacles and
carry others along with them."
