"Knowing, willing, daring and keeping silent

"Knowing, willing, daring and keeping silent: the quintessence of
initiation is in these four things. 'But why "keeping silent"?'
you will ask. Because the discoveries you can make through the
first three activities - knowing, willing and daring - are of
such a nature and of such power that it is very dangerous to
reveal them to those who are not ready for them, either because
they themselves have not begun to walk the spiritual path or
because their intentions are bad and they can make bad use of
them. Yes, keeping silent shows the immeasurable importance of
these three things: knowledge, will and daring.
Jesus said, 'Do not throw your pearls before swine'. One of
humanity's greatest tragedies is the tendency people have to
waste the best things on the worst ventures, and this is why it
is preferable not to reveal certain things to them."
